Welcome

Changemakers is an independent charity and social enterprise which enables young people aged 4-25 to make a positive and continuing contribution to society.

Here’s what’s been happening for us lately, in glorious technicolour.

We are currently redeveloping our website. We will be launching a shiny new site in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we're leaving all the current content live, but please be aware that some of this may be out of date. Thanks for bearing with us and come back again soon to have a look at the new site.

Do you want to be involved in making a short video about a campaign you're passionate about? If you are aged 16-25 we are offering you the chance to get involved in a free one day training course in London on 19th and 26th April 2008. We will equip you with new skills to help you design a short campaign film. You will learn about 'online activism' and how you can make a difference. We'll pay your travel expenses. We want to create a space for you to express your opinions and support a cause you feel passionate about. Changemakers held a celebration event for its many Young Advocates in the North East. It was held at the Centre for Life, Newcastle on March 31st and attracted over 100 guests, comprising the young people and the organisations that Changemakers had worked with over the past year. The evening was kicked off by former Changemakers Young Advocate Richard Salkeld, now a journalist for ITV, who introduced a comprehensive line-up of volunteers demonstrating their skills which included dance, circus skills and even massage.
