London, 21 April 2008; Changemakers held a celebration event for its many Young Advocates in the North East. It was held at the Centre for Life, Newcastle on March 31st and attracted over 100 guests, comprising the young people and the organisations that Changemakers had worked with over the past year.

October 2006 - Changemakers launches new ACiS toolkit
Changemakers has launched its Active Citizens in Schools (ACiS) toolkit, building on the pilot work done on ACiS by Changemakers and ContinYou.
November 2006 - Changemakers v delighted to score funding
Changemakers has consolidated its position in young people’s volunteering by successfully securing two contracts from v, the new government funded body for youth volunteering
February 2006 – Changemakers connects with Bangladeshi young people
Changemakers, the youth led learning organisation, played host to representatives from its partner organisation in Bangladesh, Working for a Better Life (WBL) this week.
March 2006 – Changemakers suggests key to success in citizenship
Changemakers, the youth-led volunteering organisation, has identified tailoring the teaching of citizenship to each child to build upon their experience and interests, and learning through participation as key to the success of Citizenship Education.
July 2006 – Young people celebrate citizenship
Ramside Hall in Durham saw a celebration event for 100 students involved in the Social Enterprise, Millennium Volunteers and Big Boost projects in the North East.
